Free supplementary courses are provided for first-grade international students at IGU

Within the framework of the decisions of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), supplementary programs have been implemented in the Fall Semester of the 2025–2026 Academic Year to support the academic success of first-year international students who registered late for various programs at our University and to improve their Turkish language practice.

• For all first-year courses, three hours of supplementary classes are provided per week, either on weekdays or at weekends.

• To strengthen Turkish language proficiency, three hours of Turkish classes are offered by TÖMER at the weekend.

• Due to late course registration, additional midterm exams and additional midterm make-up exam programs have been announced for international students.

• In order to prevent students from making mistakes in midterm exams, final exams, and make-up exams, first-year academic advisors organize online or face-to-face meetings. During these sessions, practical training is provided on topics such as exam rules, exam duration, exam discipline, and how to correctly fill in optical answer sheets for multiple-choice exams.
