The Public Relations and Promotion Department of İstanbul Gelişim University has launched an exhibition titled "Small Details in Sustainability" (Sürdürülebilirlikte Küçük Detaylar) that brings together environmental awareness and sustainability through art, as part of the "June 1–7 İstanbul Zero Waste Week." The exhibition "Small Details in Sustainability," prepared within the framework of the "Sustainability and Communication" course taught in the department and aimed at raising awareness in the area of sustainability, opened its doors to visitors. Designed by department students Gamze Günde and Özkan Kuru under the coordination of Asst. Prof. İlknur Gümüş, the exhibition will be open for visitors from June 2–5 in the Tower Building, 2nd Floor Foyer Area of İstanbul Gelisim University.

Organized under the Auspices of the Istanbul Governorate, as Part of Zero Waste Week

The event — part of a vision of leaving future generations a cleaner and more livable world — was held as part of the "June 1–7 İstanbul Zero Waste Week," organized under the coordination of the Zero Waste Foundation and the auspices of the Istanbul Governorate. The exhibition, which focuses on the importance of "small details" and individual steps in the fight against the global climate crisis and environmental pollution, aims to raise institutional and societal awareness.

A Broad Collaborative Organization through University and Industry Partnership

Conceived as a broad, collective intelligence and arts movement, the exhibition featured sustainability-themed works by students and academics from different departments of the university alongside Public Relations and Promotion Department students. The exhibition, prepared with a multivocal and interdisciplinary structure, also received support from outside the university. Kocaeli Municipality's Seka Art Specialization Center Fashion Academy contributed specially prepared works to the exhibition, bringing examples of sustainable design to visitors.

"Sustainability Is Our Greatest Responsibility to the Future"

Asst. Prof. İlknur Gümüş, who delivered the opening remarks, drew attention to the vital importance of sustainability in today's world. In her address, Gümüş congratulated the students who took on the design of the project — Gamze Günde and Özkan Kuru — and all the contributing stakeholders.
The "Small Details in Sustainability" exhibition will continue to welcome sustainability enthusiasts and environmentally conscious visitors on the İstanbul Gelişim University campus throughout the week.
