Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) continues its work on developing university-industry cooperation through its strong research infrastructure, accredited laboratories, and technology-focused projects. Contributing to the R&D ecosystem with advanced technology facilities led by its Wind Tunnel Laboratory, IGU also takes an active role in events aimed at increasing national and international partnerships. In this context, Istanbul Gelisim University presented its laboratory infrastructure and innovative projects to industry representatives at the "University Laboratory Infrastructures Promotion Day," organized in cooperation with Teknopark Istanbul and TRTEST Test ve Değerlendirme A.Ş.

IGU's Wind Tunnel Laboratory Introduced

The "University Laboratory Infrastructures Promotion Day," held at Teknopark Istanbul on July 8, 2026, was organized to introduce universities' laboratory infrastructure to the industrial ecosystem, share testing and analysis services, and develop new partnerships.
At the event, the Istanbul Gelisim University Technology Transfer Office (IGU TTO) delivered a comprehensive presentation on the university's Wind Tunnel Laboratory. The presentation covered the laboratory's technical infrastructure, its testing and verification capabilities, and the services it offers to industry.

Innovative Projects Draw Strong Interest

Following the presentation, in response to questions from participants, information was also shared about the Jet Drone and TUSİ-B Flying Ambulance projects developed at Istanbul Gelisim University. These advanced technology and innovation-focused projects were received with interest by the entrepreneurs, R&D companies, and industry representatives attending the event, and were regarded as important examples of the university's engineering capability.

University Laboratories Meet the Industrial Sector

As part of the event, the following facilities introduced their technical infrastructure, testing and analysis capabilities, verification services, and industry cooperation models to participants:

  • Istanbul Technical University Particulate Materials Laboratories,
  • Istanbul Gelisim University Wind Tunnel Laboratory.
Throughout the program, comprehensive information was shared on the laboratories' facilities and their potential for joint project development.
