Award to Volkan Budak from the film festival
Istanbul Gelisim Vocational School Head of Department of Audio-Visual Techniques and Media Production Lect. Volkan Budak's film “Missing” returned from the 20th International Izmir Short Film Festival with the “Golden Cat” award.
The winners of this year's 20th International Izmir Short Film Festival were announced. As a result of the evaluation made by the jury members, the National Fiction Category was awarded the best cinematography award to Director of Photography Serdar Güven and Director Volkan Budak for the “Missing” short film.
“Missing”, which is about the efforts of a child living with his mother in the village to comprehend the deficiencies in his life from the framework of life and death, was taken with the production support of the Ministry of Culture, General Directorate of Cinema. During the project phase, it also received the Post Production award from Antalya Film Forum Short Film Work in Progress Platform Projects Award, TRT award, Cinema Here Film Festival. The premiere was held at the 30th Ankara International Film Festival Turkey.
