'Basic Service Techniques in Gastronomy Tourism Conference' was held

Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) Faculty of Fine Arts Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts hosted Oğuzhan Özkan who served as sales and operations manager in the food and beverage sector to present his presentation titled "Basic Service Techniques in Gastronomy Tourism”.

Vice Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts of Istanbul Gelisim University Assoc. Prof. Dr. M. Sevtap Aytuğ, Head of Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Asst. Prof. Murat Doğan, Head of Gastronomy Department İsmail Hakkı Tekiner, Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department lecturers Elif Z. Özer, Tolgahan Tabak, and Res. Asst. Emel Çirişoğlu and students attended the Conference.

In the first part of the conference, Özkan giving important knowledge to students on gastronomy tourism, service techniques in gastronomy tourism, service arrangement in hotels and restaurants, restaurant management and operation differences, service equipment used in hotels and restaurants, international service types, in second part, presented service and table layout and international service procedures to our students in practice.

At the end of the conference, a plaque was presented to Oğuzhan Özkan by Vice Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts of Istanbul Gelisim University Assoc. Prof. Dr. M. Sevtap Aytuğ.
