Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) continues to take important steps in international accreditation processes. IGU, the university with the most internationally accredited programs in Türkiye, hosted the evaluation and renewal visits of many prestigious accreditation organizations between November and December 2024. These processes once again demonstrated the university's commitment to the quality of education at international standards.
YÖKAK visit: A significant step in the institutional accreditation process
The Higher Education Quality Board (YÖKAK) visited Istanbul Gelisim University within the scope of the "Institutional Accreditation Program" (KAP). This evaluation was carried out with the aim of strengthening the university's institutional quality assurance system and its quality in education. The visit was successfully completed as an indication of IGU's quality-oriented work.
ABET evaluation in the field of engineering
The "Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology" (ABET) Committee, an independent non-governmental organization based in the USA, visited the IGU Faculty of Engineering. In this process, comprehensive evaluations were made to renew the international accreditations of academic programs within the faculty. ABET's evaluations once again proved that IGU meets world standards in engineering education.
Faculty of Health Sciences AHPGS accreditation
The German Accreditation Agency in Health and Social Sciences (AHPGS), which carries out accreditation studies in the field of Health and Social Sciences, made examinations at IGU Faculty of Health Sciences. In this process, the compliance of the academic programs of the faculty with international standards was successfully evaluated and suggestions were made to further improve the quality of education.
AQAS assessments at the Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences and the Faculty of Fine Arts
The officials of the International Independent Accreditation Agency for Quality Assurance (AQAS), a member of the European Quality Assurance Association (ENQA), visited the Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences and the Faculty of Fine Arts to evaluate the departments and renew the international accreditation processes.
International excellence address in education
Istanbul Gelisim University has once again registered the quality of education at both national and international levels with the quality evaluation process it has completed. The successful completion of the accreditation processes strengthened the international validity of the education and training opportunities offered by IGU to its students and increased the recognition of the university at the global level.
