Istanbul Gelisim University hosted Sudan Consulate General in Istanbul Osama Mahgoub, Sudan Student Association President Mohammed Eid and Sudan Diaspora Foreign Relations Officer Ali Mustafa. Rector Prof. Bahri Şahin, Vice Rectors Prof. Nuri Kuruoğlu, Prof. Necmettin Maraşlı and Corporate Communication and Promotion Department Head Asst. Prof. Bülent Değirmenci attended the meeting.
The meeting discussed developing educational cooperation between the two countries, creating opportunities for Sudanese students and working together on various projects. Istanbul Gelisim University, which has the highest number of Sudanese students among Turkish universities, has an important place in the field of education for Sudanese students. During the visit, new projects and fields of study were determined in order to further strengthen existing relations and concrete steps were taken for the future.
Istanbul Gelisim University stated that it will continue to strengthen the ties between the two countries with the extensive educational opportunities and support it offers to Sudanese students and will continue to contribute to the academic and personal development of students.
