The educational event titled "Digital Applications in Classical Turkish Literature," led by Asst. Prof. Elife Ateş from the Turkish Language and Literature Department of İstanbul Gelişim University's Faculty of Economics, Administrative, and Social Sciences (FEASS), has been selected for support under the TÜBİTAK 2237-A Scientific Educational Events Support Program. To be realized through a collaboration between İstanbul Gelişim University, İstanbul Medeniyet University, and Marmara University's Center for Digital Humanities Practice and Research, the project aims to bring together the current methods and approaches developed in the field of digital humanities with Classical Turkish Literature research. The educational event, to be implemented under the leadership of Asst. Prof. Elife Ateş, aims to contribute to the wider adoption of digital transformation in the field.
Classical Turkish Literature to Be Examined from a Digital Humanities Perspective
At the event to be held with TÜBİTAK 2237-A support, the theoretical and applied expertise produced in recent years in the field of digital humanities will be brought together with Classical Turkish Literature studies. The program aims for participants to develop new research perspectives by supporting traditional research methods with digital tools.
Applied Training Spanning from Text Mining to Network Analysis
The training program will address digital research methods such as text mining, digital annotation, data visualization, network analysis, and concept mapping in an applied manner. In this way, participants are aimed at gaining digital research skills and being able to integrate these methods into their own academic work.The Academic Expertise of Three Universities Comes Together in a Joint Project
